Formability of the 5754-Aluminum Alloy Deformed by a Modified Repetitive Corrugation and Straightening Process.

Sheets of 5754-aluminum alloy processed by a modified repetitive corrugation and straightening (RCS) process were tested in order to measure their formability. For this purpose, forming limit curves were derived. They showed that the material forming capacity decreased after being processed by RCS.

Intracranial hypertension is a rare entity in prepubertal children, and its differential diagnosis includes a number of systemic diseases, drugs, vitamin deficiencies and excesses, and hereditary conditions. Infectious aetiology is rare. The case of a 9-year-old boy with intracranial hypertension secondary to acute neuroborreliosis is described.

Fed male Wistar rats were eviscerated by two procedures. The first group of eviscerated rats were left with a nonfunctional liver in situ while the second group were eviscerated by a newer technic, developed in this laboratory, that preserves liver function. The animals were maintained on a regimen of saline and antibiotic treatment, and abdominal aortic blood was drawn at intervals up to seventy-two hours postoperatively from animals with a functional liver and up to six hours postoperatively in those with nonfunctional liver status.
