Introduction: Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is usually diagnosed when symptomatic. Prognosis and evolution of preclinical IBD is largely unknown. However, colorectal cancer screening programs (CRCSP) detect a subset of IBD patients with no symptoms.

Glioblastoma (GBM), an incurable primary brain tumor, typically requires surgical intervention followed by chemoradiation; however, recurrences remain fatal. Our previous work demonstrated that a nanomedicine hydrogel (GemC-LNC) delays recurrence when administered post-surgery. However, tumor debulking also triggers time-dependent immune reactions that promote recurrence at the resection cavity borders.

Objectives: To analyse temporomandibular disorders (TMD), bruxism and well-being in patients with fibromyalgia and compare these outcomes with a control group.

Method: Diagnostic criteria for the assessment of TMD, bruxism and well-being were used in a clinic context including patients with fibromyalgia (n = 71) and a control group of healthy subjects (n = 151). Participants completed an online questionnaire measuring temporomandibular pain, headache attributed to TMD, jaw locking, joint sounds, headache to bruxism, potential sleep bruxism, potential awake bruxism, jaw functional limitation scale 8 (JFLS-8), generalised anxiety disorder scale 7, oral health impact profile scale 14, World Health Organization well-being index (WHO-5) and Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI).

Background: The differential diagnosis between patients with celiac disease (CD) and non-celiac gluten sensitivity (NCGS) is difficult when a gluten-free diet (GFD) has been initiated before the diagnostic work-up. Isolated increases in TCRγδ+ and celiac lymphogram (increased TCRγδ+ plus decreased CD3-) may enable differential diagnosis in this challenging clinical setting. This study evaluated: (1) the accuracy of %TCRγδ+ and celiac lymphogram for diagnosing CD before and after GFD and for differentiation with NCGS; (2) TCRγδ+ kinetics at baseline and after starting GFD in both CD and NCGS.
