The objective of this study was to assess tobacco use (TU) behaviors among newly diagnosed pulmonary TB (PTB) patients and identify associated factors in Benin and Burkina Faso. A cross-sectional study was conducted in 20 randomly selected TB clinics. To ensure a representative study cohort, clinics were stratified during the sampling process.

Mapping of Interventions of Social Protection for Tuberculosis Patients in Africa: A Scoping Review Protocol.

Background: Tuberculosis (TB) is a public health problem worldwide, particularly in resource-limited countries. It is considered a social disease with a medical component that persists over time due to several social determinants, most of which are closely linked to poverty and difficult socioeconomic conditions. We described in this paper an innovative initiative to conduct remote supervision (Esupervision) using Information and Communication Technology tools.
