Introduction And Objectives: We aimed to compare the usefulness of the ultra-high-sensitivity hepatitis B surface antigen (iTACT-HBsAg), high-sensitivity hepatitis B core-related antigen (iTACT-HBcrAg), and anti-HBs assays in determination of cessation of nucleot(s)ide analogue (NA) treatment to prevent against hepatitis B virus (HBV) reactivation.

Patients And Methods: Twenty-two patients who developed HBV reactivation under immunosuppressive therapy or chemotherapy and had been administered NA and subsequently discontinued were enrolled. The stored serum samples taken at NA cessation were applied to iTACT-HBsAg (lower limit of detection; 0.

Article Synopsis
  • * Research using cryo-electron microscopy reveals that the structure of α-synuclein filaments varies between different diseases, with a unique fold identified in atypical MSA that includes both neuronal and oligodendroglial pathology.
  • * The study suggests that different disease entities can be classified based on the specific folds of α-synuclein filaments, linking distinct biochemical properties of the protein to the types of cells affected in various conditions.

Background And Aims: To prevent end-stage renal disease caused by diabetic kidney disease, we created a predictive model for high-risk patients using machine learning.

Methods And Results: The reference point was the time at which each patient's estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) first fell below 60 mL/min/1.73 m.

Introduction: The response to medical management of young dogs with osteoarthritis (OA) associated pain has not been evaluated. Using an open-label design, the effectiveness, over a 4-month period, of standardized management (grapiprant/fish oil/exercise) for treating OA pain in young dogs was evaluated.

Methods: Included dogs were 9 months-4 years of age; ≥3.
