Newly formed playas, such as those resulting from the desiccation of Lake Urmia (LU) in northwest Iran, are significant global dust sources with implications for human health and the environment. Stabilizing these surfaces affordably can be achieved using locally sourced magnesium-enriched brine. To evaluate this approach, for LU playa, we examined the accumulation of ions, minerals deposition, and salt crust (Cr) formation in LU brine under both natural and laboratory conditions.

Purpose: This study aims to evaluate the performance of dual-energy window (DEW) and triple-energy window (TEW) scatter correction methods in cardiac SPECT imaging with technetium-99m (Tc-99m) and thallium-201 (Tl-201) radioisotopes.

Materials And Methods: The SIMIND Monte Carlo program was used to simulate the imaging system and produce the required projections. Two phantoms, including the simple cardiac phantom and the NCAT phantom, were used to evaluate the scatter correction methods.

Objectives: Numerous studies have been conducted to investigate the effects of preoperative hyponatremia on survival after liver transplantation. The variable findings underscore the necessity for performing a systematic review to elucidate the potential effects of preoperative hyponatremia.

Materials And Methods: We searched PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, Science Direct, Cochrane Library, and reference lists of articles for observational cohort studies that reported association between preopera-tive hyponatremia and survival after liver transplant in adults regardless of publication year.

Dentin-pulp regeneration through stem/progenitor cell transplantation represents a promising frontier in regenerative endodontics. This systematic review meticulously evaluates animal studies to investigate the efficacy of stem cell therapy in repairing/regenerating the dentine-pulp complex in mature/immature animal teeth. Employing a comprehensive electronic search of PubMed and Scopus databases up to October 2023, relevant English studies were identified/assessed.

This systematic review evaluates clinical studies investigating regenerative endodontic procedures for mature/immature teeth utilizing stem cell transplantation. An electronic search of Scopus, PubMed, ISI Web Science, and Google Scholar was conducted up to January 2023. Outcome measures encompassed radiographic (periapical lesion, root length, apical foramen width, volume of the regenerated pulp) and clinical (post-operative pain, sensibility test) parameters.
