Nitrogen fertilizer delivery inefficiencies limit crop productivity and contribute to environmental pollution. Herein, we developed Zn- and Fe-doped hydroxyapatite nanomaterials (ZnHAU, FeHAU) loaded with urea (∼26% N) through hydrogen bonding and metal-ligand interactions. The nanomaterials attach to the leaf epidermal cuticle and localize in the apoplast of leaf epidermal cells, triggering a slow N release at acidic conditions (pH 5.

Cerebral endothelial cell (EC) injury and blood-brain barrier (BBB) permeability contribute to neuronal injury in acute neurological disease states. Preclinical experiments have used animal models to study this phenomenon, yet the response of human cerebral ECs to BBB disruption remains unclear. In our Phase 1 clinical trial (NCT04528680), we used low-intensity pulsed ultrasound with microbubbles (LIPU/MB) to induce transient BBB disruption of peri-tumoral brain in patients with recurrent glioblastoma.

Background: Despite reassuring clinical and histological features, low grade meningiomas can recur after surgery. Targeted gene expression profiling improves risk stratification of meningiomas, but the utility of this approach for clinical low-risk meningiomas is incompletely understood.

Methods: This was a multicenter retrospective cohort study of meningiomas from patients who were treated at 4 institutions from 1992 to 2023.

Purpose: The objective of our study was to analyze methylomic and clinical features of a cohort of spinal meningiomas (SMs) resected at our institution.

Methods: This is a retrospective study of patients undergoing SM resection at our institution between 2010 and 2023. Clinical and radiographic characteristics were reviewed and analyzed with standard statistical methods.

Purpose: To assess whether the Modified 5 (mFI-5) and 11 (mFI-11) Factor Frailty Indices associate with postoperative mortality, complications, and functional benefit in supratentorial meningioma patients aged over 80 years.

Methods: Baseline characteristics were collected from eight centers. Based on the patients' preoperative status and comorbidities, frailty was assessed by the mFI-5 and mFI-11.
