Aims: To determine the seroprevalence of HBsAg in pregnant women and to determine the incidence of mother-to-child transmission.
Patients And Methods: It was a prospective longitudinal study with a descriptive and analytical aim that took place in the maternity ward and in the pediatric department of the CHU of Cocody for 7 months. All newborns whose mothers were HBsAg carriers were included.
We described a case of Staphylococcal Scalded Skin Syndrome in infant age of 21 days by discussing clinical and management issues. This newborn presented large erythematous, eroded, and oozing areas covered by epidermal skin flap. The average surface of cutaneous unsticking on admission was 31.

- Data was collected from 1,754 patients across 13 clinics in five West African countries, detailing ART initiation ages, clinical stages, and CD4 counts among HIV-2 and dual-infection patients.
- Results showed that while there was some increase in CD4 counts after ART, management and treatment outcomes indicated that current clinical practices are insufficient, highlighting a need for further research and clinical trials.
The prematurity remains in our developing countries a problem of current events. The deficiency in human resources and the low level of the technical equipment exposes premature babies to a high risk of morbidity and mortality in neonatal period. Those who survive need a closer follow-up after their discharge from hospital.
