Ports are more and more often applied with patients requiring the permanent intravenous access, not only in the cancer treatment. Very devices, as well as procedures associated with applying them are determined in the heterogeneous way. 24 patients with renovascular hypertension were operated from 1995 to 1997. Patients were divided into three groups: group I-atherosclerotic stricture of renal arteries with or without aorta stenosis (13), group II-fibromuscular dysplasia (8), group III-stricture of vascular anastomosis after renal transplantation (5). All patients were disqualified from PTA.

Aspiration biopsy in 31 patients with AML was performed prior to and in the 6th day of induction therapy. Studied group included 17 women and 14 men of 40 yrs mean age. Blastosis prior to and on the 6th day of the observation were compared and the index of blastosis reduction counted.
