Objective: In Italy, around 137,000 people live with multiple sclerosis, facing organizational complexities due to the current model's limited focus on proximity care. This project aims to define a proximity model, in accordance with recent developments in the Italian healthcare landscape, engaging over 150 healthcare stakeholders and potentially impacting approximately 14,000 patients.

Methods: An analysis was pursued to map the multiple sclerosis pathway, followed by interviews to capture the actual implementation in Italian Multiple Sclerosis Centers.

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are the most frequently used stem cells in clinical trials due to their easy isolation from various adult tissues, their ability of homing to injury sites and their potential to differentiate into multiple cell types. However, the realization that the beneficial effect of MSCs relies mainly on their paracrine action, rather than on their engraftment in the recipient tissue and subsequent differentiation, has opened the way to cell-free therapeutic strategies in regenerative medicine. All the soluble factors and vesicles secreted by MSCs are commonly known as secretome.

Background: Postextubation complication rates vary among studies. It is necessary to standardize a method to identify postextubation complications and determine their potential association with extubation failure and reintubation in critically ill adult patients.

Objectives: To describe immediate (up to 60 min) endotracheal postextubation complications in critically ill adult patients and determine whether these complications are associated with extubation failure.

Background: To describe the occlusion rate and clinical response of a redo ablative procedure in symptomatic patients with recanalization of saphenous vein after endovascular thermal ablation.

Methods: A retrospective cohort study was performed in a prospectively collected data of symptomatic patients with recanalization of the great saphenous vein (GSV) or small saphenous vein (SSV) after endovascular thermal ablation who underwent a secondary ablation (SA) from June 2015 to May 2018.

Results: Ten patients (15 limbs) with recanalization of the GSV or SSV were treated with SA.

Physical exercise is known to promote beneficial effects on overall health, counteracting risks related to degenerative diseases. MicroRNAs (miRNAs), short non-coding RNAs affecting the expression of a cell's transcriptome, can be modulated by different stimuli. Yet, the molecular effects on osteogenic differentiation triggered by miRNAs upon physical exercise are not completely understood.
