Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) tumor cells and their interactions with the immune microenvironment, particularly at the leading-edge area, have been underexplored. This study employs single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) and spatial transcriptome (ST) analysis on samples from the tumor core, adjacent non-tumorous tissue, and the leading-edge area of nine ICC patients. These findings indicate that tumor cells at the leading-edge area demonstrate enhanced proliferation and are tightly associated with the stroma, including endothelial cells and POSTN+ FAP+ fibroblasts.

Aim: To evaluate red flags as an instrument to distinguish other medical conditions from Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders (FGID) in children with long-term abdominal pain.

Methods: In a retrospective follow-up, data were collected from 317 children who were referred for medical assessment due to long-term abdominal pain between the years 2011 and 2012 at three Swedish paediatric open clinic units in Sweden. Throughout the review of medical records, any documented red flags at the primary consultation and finally set diagnosis after 1 year were noted for all cases.

The study of the airway epithelium in vitro is routinely performed using air-liquid culture (ALI) models from nasal or bronchial basal cells. These 3D experimental models allow to follow the regeneration steps of fully differentiated mucociliary epithelium and to study gene function by performing gene invalidation. Recent progress made with CRISPR-based techniques has overcome the experimental difficulty of this approach, by a direct transfection of ribonucleoprotein complexes combining a mix of synthetic small guide RNAs (sgRNAs) and recombinant Cas9.

Introduction: Cyclophosphamide is an alkylating agent used in routine pulmonary practice, particularly in the management of connectivitis-related diffuse interstitial lung disease. Common side effects are gastrointestinal disorders and immunosuppression, and a sudden and exceptional adverse effect is severe hyponatremia.

Observation: A 78-year-old female patient treated for NSIP-OP in the context of an anti-synthetase syndrome was treated with Cyclophosphamide 15mg/kg.
