A novel class of graphene-based materials incorporated into natural lignocellulosic fiber (NLF) polymer composites is surging since 2011. The present overview is the first attempt to compile achievements regarding this novel class of composites both in terms of technical and scientific researches as well as development of innovative products. A brief description of the graphene nature and its recent isolation from graphite is initially presented together with the processing of its main derivatives.

Background: Although the indocyanine green angiography (ICGA) has been used for years in the assessment of Deep Inferior Epigastric Perforator (DIEP) perfusion, it has not yet been established when it should be performed during the surgery. The aim of this study is to evaluate whether it is better to perform the test on the donor or recipient sites.

Methods: Intraoperative perfusion of 46 DIEP flaps was assessed twice, on the donor and recipient sites.

We present a woman with a history of years of evolution of confluent hyperkeratotic papules and plaques with a generalized linear and reticulate pattern. Histopathological characteristics concordant with keratosis lichenoides chronica were finally evidenced after several non-specific biopsies. The cutaneous manifestations, chronicity.

Article Synopsis
  • Genetic mutations in the plectin gene (PLEC) lead to different forms of epidermolysis bullosa simplex (EBS), specifically EBS-MD associated with muscular dystrophy and EBS-PA linked to pyloric atresia, with specific mutations located in different regions of the gene.
  • The study aimed to uncover new patient phenotypes of EBS-MD and EBS-PA, identify novel PLEC mutations, and explore genotype-phenotype relationships through patient analysis.
  • Findings include diverse EBS-PA cases, the discovery of 11 new PLEC mutations, and insights suggesting that EBS-PA is correlatively associated with distal PLEC mutations, while EBS-MD mutations often implicate
