Introduction: Hemodynamic forces play a crucial role in modulating endothelial cell (EC) behavior, significantly influencing blood vessel responses. While traditional in vitro studies often explore ECs under static conditions, ECs are exposed to various hemodynamic forces in vivo. This study investigates how wall shear stress (WSS) influences EC metabolism, focusing on the interplay between WSS and key metabolic pathways.

This study aimed to investigate (1) if there has been a rise in uncemented TKA from 2017 to 2021 and (2) if there are differences in early complications between cemented and uncemented TKA.
Methods: A retrospective data review was performed on the Michigan Arthroplasty Registry Collaborative Quality Initiative database of TKA patients from 2017 to 2021 at 6 hospitals.
Purpose: To evaluate the use of shoulder arthroscopic simulation in orthopaedic surgery trainees.
Methods: A literature search was performed according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines, using PubMed, Medline (Ovid), and EMBASE library databases. Inclusion criteria were experimental studies reporting pre- and post-test results of shoulder arthroscopic simulation in orthopaedic trainees (studies reporting results of comparison between groups not within the groups were excluded).
Background: The purpose of this study was to assess if subcutaneous fat (SCF) or BMI is a predictor of surgical complications and patient reported outcomes in patients undergoing robotic-assisted total hip arthroplasty (THA).
Methods: Patients who underwent robotic-assisted primary THAs at one institution between 2018 and 2020 were included in this retrospective cohort study. Prior to surgery, computed tomography (CT) was used to measure SCF in the posterolateral quadrant of the hip.
