Background: Atherogenic index of plasma (AIP), a novel logarithmic index that combines fasting triglyceride and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol concentrations, is associated with the burden of atherosclerosis. This study aimed to evaluate the relationship between AIP and coronary artery disease (CAD) risk, severity, and prognosis in populations with and without established CAD.

Background: Many studies have validated the use of antiplatelet or anticoagulant therapy in coronary artery ectasia (CAE) to reduce major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE); however, it is not completely known which group of these antithrombotic medications is more effective. The purpose of this systematic review and network meta-analysis was to evaluate the efficacy of different anti-thrombotic treatments in adult patients with CAE.

Methods: This systematic review and meta-analysis followed preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA) guidelines as well as PRISMA extension statement for reporting of systematic reviews incorporating network meta-analyses and adhered to a registered predetermined methodology noted in the prospective register of systematic reviews (PROSPERO) protocol.

Background: Limited evidence suggested different outcomes of surface treatment methods on zirconia abutments and crowns. Therefore, we investigated the effect of grooving, hot etching, and airborne particle abrasion (APA) methods on zirconia crowns over Ti-base zirconia abutments retention and fracture strength.

Materials And Methods: In this study, 110 zirconia crowns and abutments were divided into five groups, including APA for crown and grooved zirconia abutment (APACr-GrAb), APA for crown and hot etching zirconia abutment (APACr-HtAb), grooved modified zirconia crown and APA for zirconia abutments (GrCr-APAAb), hot etching modified zirconia crown and APA for zirconia abutments (HtCr-APAAb), and APA for both crown and zirconia abutments (control group).

Non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) is the most common type of bladder cancer presentation and is characterized by a varying probability of recurrence and progression. Sporadically, patients with NMIBC might also develop tumour metastases without any pathological evidence of muscle-invasive disease within the bladder, a condition known as metastatic NMIBC. In the published literature, this phenomenon is limited to several case reports and small reviews, with few data regarding the possible aetiologies.
