This study aimed to evaluate the effect of production system and lactation stage (LS) on the yield, centesimal composition, and fatty acid profile of milk from Holstein-Friesian cows. A total of 539 milk samples were collected in winter from cows in six certified organic dairy herds (ODHs) and eight conventional dairy herds (CDHs). The samples were collected randomly from up to 30% of cows at a given stage of lactation (7-45, 46-90, 91-135, 136-180, 181-225, 226-270, 271-315, and 316-360 days after calving).

The antioxidant capacity (AC); amounts of tocopherols, sterols, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons; oxidative parameters; fatty acid composition (FAC); and sensory quality of cold-pressed black cumin oils (CPBCOs) available on the Polish market were analyzed and compared. The AC levels of the CPBCO samples were determined using four assays, namely 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH = 226.8−790.

This study was designed to compare the fatty acid (FA) profiles of four types of fat depots from crossbred bulls (Polish Holstein-Friesian × Limousin, PHF × LM) fattened semi-intensively (SI) and intensively (I). Intramuscular fat was most abundant in total polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), n-3 and n-6 PUFAs, and functional fatty acids C 18:2, C 18:3, C 20:4 and C 20:5 in comparison with the remaining fat types. Furthermore, note that external fat was more abundant in conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) than other fat types.

Lansoprazole orally disintegrating tablets (ODTs) can be administered orally or through a nasogastric (NG) tube for patients who are unable to swallow. In addition, off-label administration through gastrostomy (G) or jejunal (J) tubes has been reported. The purpose of this study was to develop methods to assess the risk of clogging during administration of two lansoprazole ODTs through enteral feeding tubes.
