Pediatric cancer is a significant and growing burden in low- and middle-income countries. The objective of this project was to describe the factors influencing access to pediatric cancer care in Northern Tanzania using the Three Delays Model. This was a cross-sectional qualitative study conducted between June and August 2023 at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre (KCMC).

Enhancing nursing education through mobile health clinics: Aligning AACN core competencies with pediatric clinical experiences in rural and indigenous communities.

Aim: A well-prepared nursing workforce is essential to meet the healthcare needs of rural, underserved, and Indigenous communities. This study examines nursing students' perceptions of a Mobile Health Training Program (MHTP) that integrates AACN core competencies, with a focus on culturally responsive care, interprofessional collaboration, and professional development. Over the past two years, the MHTP conducted preschool health screenings for children aged 0-5 at four Tribal nations in Montana.

Macaque antibodies targeting Marburg virus glycoprotein induced by multivalent immunization.

Unlabelled: Marburg virus infection in humans is associated with case fatality rates that can reach up to 90%, but to date, there are no approved vaccines or monoclonal antibody (mAb) countermeasures. Here, we immunized Rhesus macaques with multivalent combinations of filovirus glycoprotein (GP) antigens belonging to Marburg, Sudan, and Ebola viruses to generate monospecific and cross-reactive antibody responses against them. From the animal that developed the highest titers of Marburg virus GP-specific neutralizing antibodies, we sorted single memory B cells using a heterologous Ravn virus GP probe and cloned and characterized a panel of 34 mAbs belonging to 28 unique lineages.

Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is a major medical health burden and the leading cause of chronic liver disease and cancer worldwide. More than 58 million people are chronically infected with HCV, with 1.5 million new infections occurring each year.
