Background Sexual dysfunction is highly prevalent. The Loyola University Medical Center Sexual Wellness Program (LU-SWP), a multidisciplinary program, uses a biopsychosocial and educational model to collaborate with patients in their treatment. We aimed to explore modifiable and non-modifiable individual, family, and healthcare factors associated with HCT readiness of AYA among families of AYA with cystic fibrosis (CF) during COVID-19.
Methods: A multi-site, cross-sectional design was used and an online survey was deployed among families and their AYA from three US pediatric CF centers.
Chagas disease (Trypanosoma cruzi infection) affects ~ 290,000 USA residents and is included in routine blood donation screening panels. Donors are notified of positive T. cruzi-screening results, deferred from donation, and given limited information for next steps.
