State laws on intimate partner violence witnessed by children in the United States.

Intimate partner violence (IPV) is common, and almost half of all IPV takes place in relationships with children in the home. We inventoried laws in the 50 states and the District of Columbia in the United States of America (USA) focused on addressing IPV committed in the presence of children, as these laws could help prevent or remediate this critical health and social issue. Using WestLaw, a web-based legal research service, we identified over 1,200 statutes and 500 regulations.

Concurrent validity of skin-based motion capture systems in measuring dynamic lumbar intervertebral angles.

Spine kinematics are commonly measured by external sensors such as motion capture and accelerometers. However, these skin-based measures cannot directly capture intervertebral motion of the lumbar spine. To date, research in this area has focused on the estimation of intervertebral kinematics using static trials but no study has analyzed agreement throughout the dynamic range of motion.

Longitudinal patterns of engagement in care among women living with HIV (WHIV) during the perinatal period are poorly understood. We employed group-based trajectory modeling to (1) describe trajectories of HIV visit engagement; and (2) identify predictors of membership in suboptimal care trajectories. Data came from a prospective cohort study across five urban clinics in Lilongwe, Malawi conducted between February 2020 and August 2022.

Antigen-specific immune therapy (CNP-106) for treatment of generalised myasthenia gravis: rationale and design of first-in-human randomised controlled trial.

Introduction: Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a T cell-dependent B cell-mediated autoimmune disease with pathogenic antibodies directed against components of the acetylcholine receptor (AChR). Current therapies do not address the root cause of the disease (autoimmune recognition of AChR) and are associated with possible serious side effects. Therefore, new therapeutic options targeting antigen-specific autoimmunity are needed.
