Sleep and breathing in children with Joubert syndrome and a review of other rare congenital hindbrain malformations.

Background: Joubert syndrome (JS) is an autosomal recessive disorder with a distinctive mid-hindbrain malformation known as the "molar tooth sign" which involves the breathing control center and its connections with other structures. Literature has reported significant respiratory abnormalities which included hyperpnea interspersed with apneic episodes during wakefulness. Larger-scale studies looking at polysomnographic findings or subjective reports of sleep problems in this population have not yet been published.

Safety and efficacy of mecapegfilgrastim in preventing neutropenia in patients with head and neck cancer: a multicenter, prospective, observational, real-world study.

Background: Mecapegfilgrastim, a long-acting granulocyte colony-stimulating factor, is approved in China for neutropenia prevention. However, data on its safety and efficacy in patients with head and neck cancer remain limited. This study aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of mecapegfilgrastim in preventing neutropenia among these patients undergoing chemotherapy, particularly those receiving chemoradiotherapy or chemoimmunotherapy.

Study on Visual Quality After Cataract Surgery and Goniosynechialysis in Patients with Primary Angle-Closure Glaucoma and Cataracts.

Objective: To assess the visual quality in patients with primary angle-closure glaucoma (PACG) complicated by cataracts after cataract phacoemulsification with intraocular lens (IOL) implantation and goniosynechialysis, and to explore the relationship between pupil size and visual quality.

Methods: A retrospective, non-randomized study was conducted, including 65 PACG patients (75 eyes) who underwent cataract surgery with IOL implantation and goniosynechialysis from July 2021 to June 2023, as well as a control group of cataract-only patients. Visual quality was evaluated using objective and subjective methods at least 3 months postoperatively.

Background: Classic Hodgkin lymphoma (CHL) is an extremely common non-acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) defining malignancy and its incidence is rising. CHL is usually present in the lymph node and extranodal involvement is rare. Primary CHL of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract is exceedingly rare.
