Adherence to preexposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is lower among high-risk populations, including youth experiencing homelessness (YEH). This study determined the feasibility of urine PrEP adherence biomarker testing and examined the barriers and facilitators to PrEP uptake and adherence among YEH. In this study, the authors gathered insights from National Football League (NFL) team spine surgeon consultants to highlight current practices in treating cervical spine injuries and report decision-making regarding RTP in professional American football players.
Methods: A cross-sectional, online survey was distributed to all NFL consulting physicians specializing in the management of spine injuries.
Background: Metastatic breast cancer (mBC) guidelines recommend multidisciplinary meetings (MDM), but there is limited research on their impact. This prospective study examines the impact of an mBC MDM on management plans, their implementation rate, and costs and benefits at an Australian metropolitan breast cancer center.
Methods: Consecutive mBC MDM patients were enrolled.
Background: Maternal nutritional interventions aim to address nutrient deficiencies in pregnancy, a leading cause of maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality worldwide. How these interventions influence the placenta, which plays a vital role in fetal growth and nutrient supply, is not well understood. This leaves a major gap in understanding how such interventions could influence pregnancy outcomes and fetal health.
