The authors present the results of evaluation of a new, commercially produced haemagglutination test for the diagnosis of syphilis; they examined a total of 2 037 sera and compared the results with some classical and specific reactions for lues, used in the National Reference Laboratory for the Diagnosis of Syphilis in Prague. The authors clearly arrive at the conclusion that the haemagglutination test is a great contribution to the diagnostic lues which can be used in practice in the field with minimum expenditure and modest equipment.
