This research is devoted to numerical and experimental analysis on deformation of completely removed component induced by wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM). The component has the form of a hollow and rectangular thin wall made of deposition layer of stainless steel SS316L on top of substrate plate of mild steel S235. In this research, thermomechanical finite element analysis was applied with Goldak's double ellipsoid as heat-source model and isotropic hardening rule based on von-Mises yield criterion.

Background: Community bylaws are commonly accepted mechanisms to influence behaviour change to achieve better health and development outcomes in sub-Saharan Africa. However, the uses, benefits, and potential downsides of community bylaws are largely unclear, especially regarding sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) of young people. The objective of this study was to determine the extent to which community bylaws in Machinga District in southern Malawi are responsive to young people's realities and SRHR needs.

The CRB (coconut rhinoceros beetle) haplotype was classified into CRB-S and CRB-G, based on the presence of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the mitochondrial cox1 gene. Mitochondrial genomes (mitogenomes) are the most widely used genetic resources for molecular evolution, phylogenetics, and population genetics in relation to insects. This study presents the mitogenome CRB-G and CRB-S which were collected in Johor, Malaysia.

Background: This study aimed to determine the agreement between intact parathyroid hormone (iPTH) and biointact parathyroid hormone (bio-PTH) assays and to correlate them with bone markers.

Methods: This cross-sectional study included 180 patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) stages 3b, 4 and 5D. We measured their iPTH, bio-PTH, 25-hydroxyvitaminD (25(OH)D), C-terminal telopeptide collagen (CTX), procollagen 1 intact N-terminal propeptide (P1NP), calcium, phosphate and alkaline phosphatase (ALP).

Two members of the species Oryctes rhinoceros (OrNV) were detected in haplotype G beetles collected from an oil palm plantation in Kluang and a wild coconut tree in Batu Pahat (Johor, Malaysia). OrNV strain Kluang comprised 125,794 bp, encoding 125 open reading frames (ORFs), while OrNV strain Batu Pahat comprised 124,925 bp, encoding 126 ORFs.
