Purpose: Despite the disproportionate impact of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) on Hispanic patients, reported outcomes are limited, particularly among subpopulations. Our study aimed to evaluate outcomes in access to care and survival among racial and ethnic Hispanic subpopulations.
Methods: The National Cancer Database was then utilized to identify patients diagnosed with HCC between 2004 and 2020.
Introduction: Right ventricular (RV) pacing can impair left ventricular function and cause heart failure, known as pacing-induced cardiomyopathy (PICM). Upgrade to cardiac resynchronization (CRT) is its usual treatment; recently left bundle branch area pacing (LBBAP) has emerged as a potential alternative. Deep septal pacing (DSP), a simplified alternative to LBBAP, is still able to achieve narrower paced QRS than during conventional RV pacing.

However, it is unknown how ED utilization differs among those with different types of Medicaid such as Emergency Medicaid, with which access to outpatient care is more restricted. We sought to compare differences in ED use during between pregnant persons with Emergency Medicaid and Traditional Medicaid and pregnancy outcomes by ED utilization.

Large transmembrane Ca electrochemical gradients and low diffusibility between cell compartments potentially generate short-lived, localised, high-[Ca] microdomains. The highest concentration domains likely form between closely apposed membranes, as at amphibian skeletal muscle transverse tubule-sarcoplasmic reticular (T-SR, triad) junctions.

Debates on both a common origin for these pathogens and the history of syphilis itself has weighed evidence for the "Columbian hypothesis", which argues for an American origin, against that for the "pre-Columbian hypothesis", which argues for presence of the disease in Eurasia in the Medieval period and possibly earlier. While molecular data has provided a genetic basis for distinction of the typed subspecies, deep evolution of the complex has remained unresolved due to limitations in the conclusions that can be drawn from the sparse paleogenomic data currently available.
