Background: Low-income pregnant patients are at high risk of postpartum depression (PPD). Mothers and Babies (MB) is a cognitive behavioral therapy-based program that prevents up to 50% of de novo PPD when provided in person to low-income Spanish- and English-speaking people who are pregnant without depression. MB is limited by the need for trained personnel to support it.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFLurbinectedin is a selective inhibitor of oncogenic transcription approved for the treatment of adult patients with metastatic small cell lung cancer (SCLC) with disease progression on or after platinum-based chemotherapy. Preclinical data provide evidence for lurbinectedin exerting its actions in a unique manner that involves oncogenic transcription inhibition, DNA damage, reshaping of the tumor microenvironment, and inducing anticancer immunity. Understanding the mechanism of action (MoA) has facilitated the rational combination of lurbinectedin and anticancer therapies with complementary modes of action, in order to obtain synergistic effects that could potentially lead to improved efficacy.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFOsteoarthritis (OA) is the most common joint disease in the adult population. OA is the result of multiple mechanisms leading to inflammation and the degradation of the cartilage. A complex series of etiological actors have been identified so far, including extracellular vesicles (EVs).

Though obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) increases the risk for HDP, data on OSA and 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) in pregnancy are scarce. We aim to examine the BP profile of women with pregnancy-onset OSA.

We present a highly enantioselective, inverse-electron-demand hetero-Diels-Alder reaction of olefins with in situ generated -Boc-formaldimine catalyzed by strong and confined Bro̷nsted acids. This transformation provides direct access to valuable 1,3-amino alcohols from styrenes and 1,1-disubtituted alkenes.
