The COVID-19 pandemic raises the question of austerity's problematic social toll for health in the south of Europe. Has EU economic governance constrained health spending? If so, have these spending levels led to inequalities, which in turn shaped responses to the pandemic? EU economic governance is often dismissed as ineffective because of its poor track record of compliance. Yet austerity is blamed for negative health outcomes.

Advanced Practice Nursing Titles and Roles in Cancer Care: A Scoping Review.

Objectives: Advanced practice nursing roles in cancer care are diverse and exist across the cancer care continuum. However, the titles used and the scope of practice differ across countries. This diversity is likely to be misleading to patients and influence nurses' contribution to health care.

Closed-shell d-d mechanochromic [AuPh(CNPh)] complex: quantum chemistry electronic and optical properties.

The electronic structure, spectroscopic properties, and solid state chemistry of monomer and dimers of [AuPh(CNPh)] complex were studied at post-Hartree-Fock (MP2, SCS-MP2, and CC2) and density functional theory levels. The absorption spectra of these complexes were calculated using single excitation time-dependent (TD) methods at DFT, CC2, and SCS-CC2 levels. The influences of the bulk are accounted for at the PBE-D3 level, incorporating dispersion effects.

The PraxiFala Battery: A diagnostic accuracy study.

Purpose: To present the sensitivity and specificity and establish cutoff points (receiver operating characteristic [ROC] curve) for the PraxiFala Battery.

Method: The sample included 308 Brazilian-speaking children aged 3;0-7;11. Twenty-one children had motor speech disorders (MSD), 58 children had phonological disorder (PD), and 229 had typical speech (TS) development.

Nonlinear viscoelastic model for time-dependent mechanical characterization of PMMA acrylic bone cements.

Acrylic bone cement materials are widely used in prosthetic implants, orthopaedics and others trauma surgery. From the mechanical constitutive behaviour viewpoint, experimental analyses have provided ample evidence that such materials exhibit time-dependent properties. In this context, this work addresses the formulation of a nonlinear viscoelastic model for the behaviour of PMMA bone cements under compressive creep loading.
