Introduction: Older adults experience fatigue which impacts health-related quality of life. The Pittsburgh Fatigability Scale (PFS) was specifically designed to assess perceived physical and mental fatigability in older adults. Methods: Twenty-one participants walked on a treadmill for 60-s trials, either without stimulation or while experiencing painful electrical stimulation in the medial, lateral or anterior region of the knee. Perceived pain location was analyzed using pain drawing.
Background: Headache is one of the most common symptoms after a whiplash injury, although the pathophysiology remains under discussion. This study aimed to evaluate differences in neuropathic pain and central sensitization features between those who present with whiplash-associated headache (WAH) soon after a whiplash injury and those who do not.
Methods: This case-control study evaluated differences on the self-administered Leeds Assessment of Neuropathic Symptoms and Signs (S-LANSS), Pain Detect Questionnaire (PDQ) and the Central Sensitization Inventory (CSI) between those who present with WAH in the acute phase after a whiplash injury (n = 46) and those who do not (n = 36).
A search for the exclusive hadronic decays W^{±}→π^{±}γ, W^{±}→K^{±}γ, and W^{±}→ρ^{±}γ is performed using up to 140 fb^{-1} of proton-proton collisions recorded with the ATLAS detector at a center-of-mass energy of sqrt[s]=13 TeV. If observed, these rare processes would provide a unique test bench for the quantum chromodynamics factorization formalism used to calculate cross sections at colliders. Additionally, at future colliders, these decays could offer a new way to measure the W boson mass through fully reconstructed decay products.
