The search for primordial black holes (PBHs) with masses M≪M_{⊙} is motivated by natural early-Universe production mechanisms and that PBHs can be dark matter. For M≲10^{14} kg, the PBH density is constrained by null searches for their expected Hawking emission (HE), the characteristics of which are, however, sensitive to new states beyond the standard model. If there exists a large number of spin-0 particles in nature, PBHs can, through HE, develop and maintain non-negligible spins, modifying the visible HE.

In this pilot study, we examine the consequences of this growth for the stochastic gravitational wave background (SGWB) produced by inspiraling supermassive cosmologically coupled BHs. We show that the predicted SGWB amplitude is enhanced relative to the standard uncoupled case, while maintaining the [Formula: see text] frequency scaling of the spectral energy density.

Since vimentin was atypically expressed in a human breast carcinoma cell line made resistant to doxorubicin, we looked at vimentin expression in these two clones with spontaneously different sensitivity to the drug. For comparison we used the parental cell line LoVo WT and LoVo/DX made resistant pharmacologically.

First, alpha v beta 5 integrin was immunoprecipitated by 125I-surface labeled HT-1080 cells using a polyclonal antibody specific for beta 5 subunit (cytoplasmic domain). A heterodimer consisting of a beta 5-chain running at 100 kD (reduced) and 90 kD (non-reduced) associated with an alpha-chain 145 kD (non-reduced) and 125 kD (reduced) was obtained by SDS-PAGE and autoradiography.
