Impact of COVID-19 lock-down period on orthopedic and trauma surgical activity in a northern Italian hospital.

Objectives: This study aims to describe the impact of COVID-19 on Orthopedic and Trauma surgical activity in a single level-I trauma center in Northern Italy during the lockdown period. We proposed comparing surgical procedures performed during the outbreak and in the same period the previous year.

Methods: In this single-center retrospective epidemiological cohort study, the "lockdown cohort" of patients who were treated from March 1 to May 24, 2020, was compared to the "control cohort" who received treatment during the same period in 2019.

An increase in paediatric arthroscopy in Europe: Experience of the EPOS Sport Study Group.

Purpose: Paediatric musculoskeletal injuries in association with increased participation in sports activities continue to increase. Arthroscopy is recognized as a safe and effective procedure in children. This study aims to identify trends in European paediatric sports centres over 20 years.

GCoM datasets: a collection of climate and energy action plans with mitigation, adaptation and energy access commitments.

This paper presents a collection of datasets holding information on the energy and climate action plans of 6,850 municipalities, taking part in the transnational initiative of the Global Covenant of Mayors (GCoM). This collection includes commitments for reducing net GHG emissions by at least 20% by 2020, 55% by 2030 and becoming climate neutral by 2050. The signatories commit to addressing any of the three pillars of the initiative, namely climate change mitigation, adaptation and energy access.

Deletions in the CDKL5 5' untranslated region lead to CDKL5 deficiency disorder.

Pathogenic variants in the cyclin-dependent kinase-like 5 (CDKL5) gene are associated with CDKL5 deficiency disorder (CDD), a severe X-linked developmental and epileptic encephalopathy. Deletions affecting the 5' untranslated region (UTR) of CDKL5, which involve the noncoding exon 1 and/or alternatively spliced first exons (exons 1a-e), are uncommonly reported. We describe genetic and phenotypic characteristics for 15 individuals with CDKL5 partial gene deletions affecting the 5' UTR.
