The disruption of proteostasis provides a favourable context for the emergence of therapeutic innovations, in particular by exploiting technologies such as the PROTAC (Proteolysis Targeting Chimera) approach. These technologies aim to selectively target proteins involved in various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative diseases, by inducing their specific degradation via the ubiquitin-proteasome system. The PROTAC approach opens new opportunities for restoring altered protein homeostasis and modulating the pathological consequences of proteostasis deregulation.

This study investigates the diagnostic practices for mucormycosis among 30 French University Hospital mycology laboratories, in 2024. All laboratories perform both direct examination and culture, with fluorescent brighteners being the most commonly used method for direct examination. While 77 % of the participating laboratories routinely identify Mucorales to the species level, with 70 % having adopted Mucorales-specific quantitative PCR, primarily for the diagnosis of invasive fungal infections.

Hantaviruses, members of the Bunyaviridae family, can cause two patterns of disease in humans, hantavirus hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) and cardiopulmonary syndrome (HCPS), being the latter hegemonic on the American continent. Andesvirus is one of the strains that can cause HCPS and is endemic in Chile. Its transmission occurs through direct or indirect contact with infected rodents' urine, saliva, or feces and inhalation of aerosol particles containing the virus.
