Background: Acute mitral regurgitation due to papillary muscle rupture is a severe complication of acute myocardial infarction. Transcatheter edge-to-edge repair is emerging as an effective alternative to surgical treatment, with encouraging outcomes. Leaflet adverse events are rare and are associated with relapse of significant mitral regurgitation.

Accurate phenotyping of TR, the right heart, and pulmonary vasculature via echocardiography, computed tomography, and, occasionally, cardiovascular magnetic resonance and right heart catheterization is deemed crucial in choosing the most suitable treatment strategy for each patient and achieving procedural success. In the first part of the present review, key imaging factors for patient selection will be discussed.

Methods: Six Dorper rams were utilized for semen collection over 16 weeks, with BC concentrations determined via the MTT test. Animals were divided into a control group and three treatment groups receiving BC at concentrations of 1.
Sperm oxidative stress has been extensively associated to male infertility. However, tests to detect this parameter have not been yet introduced in clinical practice and no definitive data are present on the extent of oxidative stress in male infertility. In this study, we used a novel and reliable flow cytometric method to reveal sperm ROS production in subfertile patients (n = 131) and in healthy donors (n = 31).
