Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative pathology covering about 70% of all cases of dementia. It is associated with neuroinflammation and neuronal cell death, which are involved in disease progression. There is a lack of effective therapies, and halting this process represents a therapeutic challenge.

Methods: A survey-based study investigating long COVID-related standard operating procedures (SOPs) has been conducted by the European Respiratory Society (ERS) END-COVID clinical research collaboration with the support of other international societies (ALAT, APSR, CHEST, ESCMID and PATS).
Thiophene-based nanoparticles (TNPs) are promising therapeutic and imaging agents. Here, using an innovative phage-templated synthesis, a strategy able to bypass the current limitations of TNPs in nanomedicine applications is proposed. The phage capsid is decorated with oligothiophene derivatives, transforming the virus in a 1D-thiophene nanoparticle (1D-TNP).
