Meningiomas in Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome: A case report and comprehensive review.

Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome (RTS) is a congenital disorder with characteristic clinical manifestations. In the vast majority of cases, it is caused by mutations of the gene encoding the transcriptional co-activator cAMP-response element binding protein (CBP)-binding protein (CREBBP). It has been thought to be a tumor predisposition syndrome as RTS patients have an increased risk of developing tumors including meningiomas.

A cost effectiveness analysis of two treatment strategies for trigeminal neuralgia in Ontario.

Methods: The Canadian Neurosurgery Research Collaborative performed a retrospective cohort study capturing neurosurgical procedure cancellation data at five Canadian academic centres, during the period between January 1, 2014 and December 31, 2018.

Background: The main focus of traumatic brain injury (TBI) management is prevention of secondary injury. Therapeutic hypothermia (TH), the induction of a targeted low core body temperature, has been explored as a potential neuroprotectant in TBI. The aim of this article is to synthesize the available clinical data comparing the use of TH with the use of normothermia in TBI.
