Background: A bladder outlet procedure (BOP) without augmentation cystoplasty (AC) for incontinence from neurogenic bladder has risks including renal damage and future surgeries.

Objective: Our objective was to obtain long-term outcomes after BOP without AC and identify risk factors for adverse outcomes. We hypothesized that high preoperative bladder compliance is associated with lower risk of subsequent AC or diversion (AC/D) and dimercaptosuccinic acid renal scan (DMSA) abnormalities.

Ambulatory status and sexual function and activity in young adults with spina bifida.

Introduction: Young adults with spina bifida may experience altered genital sensation and sexual function. There are no validated questionnaires and few studies examining sexual function and activity in this population. Ambulatory status has previously been associated with better erectile function, but few studies report on other domains of sexual function in men and women.

Natural killer (NK) cells are a promising approach for cellular cancer immunotherapy and are being investigated to treat patients with multiple myeloma (MM). We found that MM patient blood NK cell frequencies were normal with increased activating receptors and cytotoxic granules, without evidence of functional exhaustion. Despite this activated state, MM target cells were resistant to conventional NK cells by unclear mechanisms.

Evaluation of the MyFertiCoach Lifestyle App for Subfertile Couples: Single-Center Evaluation of Augmented Standard Care.

Background: Many couples undergoing fertility treatment face multiple lifestyle risk factors that lower their chances of achieving pregnancy. The MyFertiCoach (MFC) app was designed as an integrated lifestyle program featuring modules on healthy weight management, nutrition, exercise, quitting smoking, reducing alcohol and drug use, and managing stress. We hypothesized that supplementing standard care with the MFC app would improve lifestyle outcomes.
