Purpose: To evaluate the repeatability of automatic measurements of a new anterior segment optical coherence tomographer (ANTERION; Heidelberg Engineering) and their agreement with an anterior segment optical coherence tomography device combined with Placido disc corneal topography (MS-39; CSO) in patients affected by keratoconus.

Methods: Fifty-four consecutive patients were included. Three measurements were performed with the ANTERION and one with the MS-39.

Article Synopsis
  • Heterogeneity in cancer refers to the diverse characteristics of cancer cells, including differences in their structure, genetic expression, metabolism, and ability to spread.
  • This variation poses challenges for effective treatment, as it often leads to resistance, more severe metastasis, and recurrence of tumors.
  • Advancements in single-cell and spatial genomic technologies are crucial for understanding tumor dynamics, which can inform the development of personalized therapies and improve cancer treatment outcomes through immunotherapy.

Different tissues have different endothelial features, however, the implications of this heterogeneity in pathological responses are not clear yet. "Inflamm-aging" has been hypothesized as a possible trigger of diseases, including osteoarthritis (OA) and sarcopenia, often present in the same patient. To highlight a possible contribution of organ-specific endothelial cells (ECs), we compare ECs derived from bone and skeletal muscle of the same OA patients.

Background: Many neurologic complications have been described after severe acute respiratory syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) including atypical cases of optic neuritis (ON), positive to myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) IgG.

Objective: To report a case of MOG-IgG-associated ON and discuss why SARS-CoV-2 infection could be a potential trigger.

Methods: Retrospective single case report.
