In recent years, the corporate social responsibility (CSR) report has gained strategic importance within organizations, especially after the development of strategies and different international regulations, such as the Global Compact and the United Nations' 2030 Agenda or Directive 2014/95/EU. This, together with the boom in CSR research and business management, has given rise to heterogeneity in the conceptualization and management of CSR report. Consequently, this research study proposes a bibliometric and systematic analysis of 4966 research articles, available in the Scopus repository and published during the period of 2001-2021, to improve the conceptualization and management of CSR communication.

The Mexican Caribbean is a vital nesting destination for loggerhead (Caretta caretta) and green (Chelonia mydas) sea turtles. Since 2015, massive periodical landings of pelagic Sargassum species (sargasso) have affected coastal ecosystems. Dense accumulations of sargasso on the shoreline may preclude access to sea turtles' preferred nesting areas and compromise hatching.

Lionfish () have rapidly invaded the tropical Atlantic and spread across the wider Caribbean in a relatively short period of time. Because of its high invasion capacity, we used it as a model to identify the connectivity among nine marine protected areas (MPAs) situated in four countries in the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea. This study provides evidence of local genetic differentiation of in the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea.

In 2018, the Mexican Caribbean coast received a massive influx of pelagic Sargassum spp. that accumulated and decayed on beaches producing organic decomposition products that made the water turbid and brown. Between May and September of the same year there were several reports of mass mortality of marine biota in this area.
