Thrombotic microangiopathy and hypothermia in an HIV-positive patient: importance of cytomegalovirus infection.

Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection is a well-known frequent complication in HIV-infected patients. We report a case of thrombotic microangiopathy and severe hypothermia in a 21-y-old woman positive for HIV infection. CMV infection was diagnosed by PCR.
