Background: Since MYC is one of the most frequently altered driver genes involved in cancer formation, it is a potential target for new anti-cancer therapies. Historically, however, MYC has proved difficult to target due to the absence of a suitable crevice for binding potential low molecular weight drugs.

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate a novel molecular glue, dubbed GT19630, which degrades both MYC and GSPT1, for the treatment of breast cancer.

Iron in the brain is essential to neurodevelopmental processes, as it supports neural functions, including processes of oxygen delivery, electron transport, and enzymatic activity. However, the development of brain iron before birth is scarcely understood. By estimating R2* (1/T2*) relaxometry from a sizable sample of fetal multiecho echo-planar imaging (EPI) scans, which is the standard sequence for functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), across gestation, this study investigates age and sex-related changes in iron, across regions and tissue segments.

Purpose: Pulsed electrical field (PEF) ablation is an energy-based technique used to treat a range of cancers by irreversible electroporation (IRE). Our objective was to use computational and plant-based models to characterize the electric field distribution and ablation zones induced with a commercial 8-needle array-based applicator intended for treatment of skin cancer when high-frequency IRE (H-FIRE) pulses are applied. Electric field characterisation of this device was not previously assessed.

(maize) is both an agronomically important crop and a powerful genetic model system with an extensive molecular toolkit and genomic resources. With these tools, maize is an optimal system for cytogenetic study, particularly in the investigation of chromosome segregation. Here, we review the advances made in maize chromosome segregation, specifically in the regulation and dynamic assembly of the mitotic and meiotic spindle, the inheritance and mechanisms of the abnormal chromosome variant Ab10, the regulation of chromosome-spindle interactions via the spindle assembly checkpoint, and the function of kinetochore proteins that bridge chromosomes and spindles.

Plutonium uranium reduction extraction (PUREX) is a liquid-liquid extraction process used to recover plutonium (Pu) and uranium (U) from irradiated uranium fuel for various nuclear-related applications. Despite extensive efforts, quantitative prediction of liquid-liquid extraction parameters, i.e.
