Background: The optimal strategy for patients with colorectal liver metastases (CRLM) is unclear. The Precision1 prospective, observational trial assessed whether pre-operative functional imaging and whole genome sequencing (WGS), could enhance individualized decision-making.
Methods: Patients with CRLM considered for hepatectomy were recruited.
Background: Racial disparities in healthcare have been well documented in the United States. We hypothesise that there will be a racial variance in different clinical variables in single-ventricle patients through stages of palliation.
Materials And Methods: Retrospective single-centre study stratified all single-ventricle patients who reached stage 2 palliation by race: Black and White.
Background: The risk of onwards HIV transmission is strongly influenced by the interval between HIV infection and its diagnosis. The SELPHI trial examined whether this interval could be reduced by offering free HIV self-testing kits to men-who-have-sex with-men (MSM).
Setting: Internet-based RCT of MSM aged ≥16 years, resident in England/Wales, recruited via sexual and social networking sites.
Dyshidrosiform bullous pemphigoid (DBP) is a rare variant of bullous pemphigoid (BP) that mainly affects elderly patients and presents with tense bullae formation on the palms, soles, or both palms and soles. This case report describes an 87-year-old woman who was evaluated in the hospital for a month-long erythematous and pruritic rash on most of her body that eventually manifested into tense blisters on the palms. DBP can pose a challenge to clinicians as it can resemble a variety of different vesicular diseases.
