Objectives: This study aimed to assess survival rates and the causes of both early and late mortality in patients with Stanford type B aortic dissection (TBAAD).

Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on all consecutive patients presenting with TBAAD from 2000 to 2018 at a single tertiary care center. The primary end-point was early (<3 months) and late (>3 months) survival following TBAAD, with causes of both early and late mortality evaluated.

Background: To investigate the long-term efficacy of the paclitaxel-eluting Legflow balloon catheter in the treatment of "real-world" long and complex femoropopliteal lesions.

Methods: The REFLOW study was a prospective, multi-national, non-randomized, single arm study evaluating the long-term safety and efficacy of the Legflow paclitaxel-eluting balloon dilatation catheter in the treatment of stenotic or occlusive lesions >150 mm long in the femoropopliteal arteries of symptomatic patients (Rutherford 2-5). A total of 120 study subjects were enrolled in a period of 30 months, between October 2015 and May 2018.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to collect all the available evidence concerning technical success and early and mid-term clinical outcomes of physician-modified endografts (PMEGs) for the treatment of aortic arch pathologies in zones 0 to 2.

Material And Methods: We performed a systematic review to identify all the eligible studies that reported outcomes to the PMEGs for aortic arch pathologies in zones 0 to 2 and then conducted a qualitative synthesis and meta-analysis of the results. The main outcomes were technical success, mortality, stroke rate, bridging stents' complications, and reintervention rate.

Article Synopsis
  • The Delphi consensus aimed to clarify management practices for abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAAs) due to conflicting data in previous literature.
  • A group of 44 experts anonymously discussed six key topics over three rounds, achieving a 100% response rate.
  • Key findings included the agreement on minimum case volume for AAA repairs, the effectiveness of screening programs, lifelong surveillance after repair, and the consideration of screening for women smokers at 65, but no consensus on certain repair thresholds or thrombosis prevention was reached.
