Background And Aim: Subclinical hypothyroidism has been linked to increased risk of atherosclerotic disease. Soluble CD40 ligand (sCD40L), mainly derived from activated platelets, and the lipid peroxidation product 8-iso-prostaglandin F (8-iso-PGF) are known to play a relevant pathophysiological role in atherogenesis.
