Revisiting the taxonomy of Pseudotiphia villosa (Fabricius, 1793) and notes on another Pseudotiphia Ashmead, 1903 species (Hymenoptera: Tiphiidae: Tiphiinae).

The splitting between Pseudotiphia villosa (Fabricius, 1793) and Pseudotiphia olcesei (Tournier, 1889) is examined with the resulting restoration of the latter as a good species. The synonymy of Tiphia beckeri Tournier, 1889 with Tiphia villosa is proposed together with the new combination of the name Tiphia arenicola Kohl, 1889 under Pseudotiphia and its synonymy with Pseudotiphia caspica Boni Bartalucci, 2010.

Between Theory and Practice: Computational/Experimental Integrated Approaches to Understand the Solubility and Lipophilicity of PROTACs.

Emerging drug candidates more often fall in the beyond-rule-of-five chemical space. Among them, proteolysis targeting chimeras (PROTACs) have gained great attention in the past decade. Although physicochemical properties of small molecules accomplishing Lipinski's rule-of-five can now be easily predicted through models generated by large data collections, for PROTACs the knowledge is still limited and heterogeneous, hampering their prediction.

Exploiting ELIOT for Scaffold-Repurposing Opportunities: TRIM33 a Possible Novel E3 Ligase to Expand the Toolbox for PROTAC Design.

The field of targeted protein degradation, through the control of the ubiquitin-proteasome system (UPS), is progressing considerably; to exploit this new therapeutic modality, the proteolysis targeting chimera (PROTAC) technology was born. The opportunity to use PROTACs engaging of new E3 ligases that can hijack and control the UPS system could greatly extend the applicability of degrading molecules. To this end, here we show a potential application of the ELIOT (E3 LIgase pocketOme navigaTor) platform, previously published by this group, for a scaffold-repurposing strategy to identify new ligands for a novel E3 ligase, such as TRIM33.

Appropriateness, safety, and effectiveness of "drip and ship" teleconsultation model in Southeastern Tuscany: a feasibility study.

Purpose: Teleconsultation is a consultation between two or more physicians about the diagnostic work-up and therapeutic strategy in the treatment of an individual case by means of modern telematics. 'Drip-and-ship' teleconsultation model consists of the transfer of patients, through telematics stroke networks, with large arteries occlusions from primary to comprehensive stroke centers equipped for endovascular therapy. We retrospectively investigated appropriateness, safety, and effectiveness of 'drip-and-ship' teleconsultation model in a rural area of Tuscany.
