Long-term metabolic follow-up and clinical outcome of 35 patients with maple syrup urine disease.

Background: Maple syrup urine disease (MSUD) is a rare disease that requires a protein-restricted diet for successful management. Little is known, however, about the psychosocial outcome of MSUD patients. This study investigates the relationship between metabolic and clinical parameters and psychosocial outcomes in a cohort of patients with neonatal-onset MSUD.

[Cystic ectasia of the rete testis: apropos of a case].

We report a case of a simple testicular cyst developing on the rete testis. Nine cases have been reported in children. In our patient, the cyst was associated with aplasia of the homolateral kidney and termination of the left ureter in the left deferens.

Antley-Bixler syndrome: case report and review of the literature.

A female newborn presenting a malformative syndrome which groups trapezoidocephaly, midfacial hypoplasia, radiohumeral synostosis, multiple joint contractures and femoral bowing is described as being affected of an Antley-Bixler syndrome. We compare this case with the seventeen others cases reported.
