Background: To investigate changes of objective instrumental measures and correlate with patient reported outcomes (PROs) of radiation-induced dysphagia (RID) after swallowing organs at risk (SWOARs)-sparing IMRT.
Methods: Patients (pts) underwent Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES), Videofluoroscopy (VFS) and M.D.
Glioblastoma (GBM) is a highly aggressive brain tumor known for its resistance to standard treatments. Despite surgery being a primary option, it often leads to incomplete removal and high recurrence rates. Photodynamic therapy (PDT) holds promise as an adjunctive treatment, but safety concerns and the need for high-power lasers have limited its widespread use.

This study assessed ChatGPT-3.5's capabilities as a source of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) information, using Google Search as a comparison.

We aim to identify cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) prognostic protein biomarkers in CSF samples of SMA patients collected at baseline (T0), and to describe proteomic profile changes and biological pathways influenced by nusinersen before the sixth nusinersen infusion (T302).
Methods: In this multicenter retrospective longitudinal study, we employed an untargeted liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LC-MS)-based proteomic approach on CSF samples collected from 61 SMA patients treated with nusinersen (SMA1 n=19, SMA2 n=19, SMA3 n=23) at T0 at T302.
Systemic autoimmune diseases are complex conditions characterized by an immune system dysregulation and an aberrant activation against self-antigens, leading to tissue and organ damage. Even though genetic predisposition plays a role, it cannot fully explain the onset of these diseases, highlighting the significant impact of non-heritable influences such as environment, hormones and infections. The exposome represents all those factors, ranging from chemical pollutants and dietary components to psychological stressors and infectious agents.
