Introduction: In ovarian steroid-dependent diseases such as uterine fibroids, endometriosis and adenomyosis, oral GnRH antagonists have emerged as new therapeutic alternatives. These oral GnRH antagonists offer key advantages, including oral administration, dose-dependent estrogen suppression and rapid reversibility.
Areas Covered: This review examines the pharmacological, clinical and therapeutic profiles of the latest non-peptide oral GnRH antagonists, through an analysis of clinical evidence and randomized clinical trials, to provide a comprehensive and up-to-date overview of their clinical applications and potential benefits.
Pathogen infections constitute a serious problem in the field of lung diseases, especially in severe conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). Exacerbations of COPD and ARDS can be significantly influenced by bacterial infections from Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus, which can hasten the decline of lung function. Moreover, the abuse of high-dose antibiotics used to treat obstinate infections is contributing to the growing issue of multidrug resistance (MDR) by microorganisms.

Methods: A total of 217 patients with malignant lesions were analysed underwent MRI examinations. Considering histological findings as the ground truth, four different types of findings were used in both univariate and multivariate analyses: (1) G1 + G2 vs G3 classification; (2) presence of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2 + vs HER2 -); (3) presence of the hormone receptor (HR + vs HR -); and (4) presence of luminal subtypes of breast cancer.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of processing human ovarian tissue on follicle activation dynamics.
Methods: Fresh ovarian tissue was retrieved from 9 women undergoing laparoscopic surgery for benign conditions. Biopsies from each patient were divided into 3 fragments, the first of which was immediately fixed in the operating room (T0) and the second and third just after processing at 25 (T25) and (T90) 90 min.
