The authors report the case of a three-month pregnant woman, in whom a bladder tumour was discovered incidentally by ultrasound, raising the question of the possible foetal repercussions of using an electric scalpel in cutting mode. The bladder tumour was resected using a bipolar electric scalpel and irrigation was performed with physiological saline. No intraoperative or postoperative foetal repercussions were observed.
