Background: The rapid development and distribution of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines has been essential in containing the SARS-CoV-2 epidemic around the globe. For ongoing and future immunization campaigns globally, there is a need to evaluate the impact of population demographics such as age and sex, on vaccine efficacy and safety.
Methods: This systematic review (PROSPERO ID CRD42023328245) conducted according to PRISMA guidelines evaluates the impact of age and sex on the safety and efficacy of the mRNA COVID-19 vaccinations administrated in 15 studies that were chosen according to strict criteria.
A 47-year-old female presented with arthritis in the left hand's PIP III. Her symptoms were negative for connective tissue disease or spondyloarthritis, but she had HIV and hepatitis B. Initial tests showed no systemic inflammation or abnormal antibodies, and radiology revealed no bony changes.

Resting EEG theta, alpha (ABP), beta, and gamma frequency band powers were selected as linear EEG markers indicating the level of EEG power, and Higuchi's fractal dimension (HFD) as a nonlinear EEG complexity marker reflecting brain temporal dynamics. The impact of seven different blood biomarkers, i.

Design: Qualitative descriptive study. The Integrated Health Networks Model was the theoretical framework of reference.
Angiotensensin-converting enzyme-2 (ACE2) is a receptor for SARS-CoV-2, allowing the virus to enter cells. Although tumor patients infected by SARS-CoV-2 often have a worse outcome, the expression, function and clinical relevance of ACE2 in tumors has not yet been thoroughly analyzed. In this study, RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) data from tumors, adjacent tissues and whole blood samples of COVID-19 patients from genome databases and from tumor cell lines and endothelial cells infected with different SARS-CoV-2 variants or transfected with an ACE2 expression vector (ACE2) or mock (ACE2) were analyzed for the expression of ACE2 and immune response relevant molecules in silico or by qPCR, flow cytometry, Western blot and/or RNA-seq.
