Objectives: This cross-sectional study aimed to evaluate the occurrence of Streptococcus spp., Streptococcus mutans, its serotypes (c, e, f, and k), collagen-binding genes (cnm/cbm), and Candida albicans in medium deep (D2) and deep (D3) dentin carious lesions of permanent teeth.
Materials And Methods: Carious dentin was collected from D2 (n = 23) and D3 (n = 24) lesions in posterior teeth from 31 individuals.
This study aimed to analyze the effect of different intervention strategies in physical education classes on the reduction of sedentary time. This is a randomized, school-based intervention with factorial characteristics, carried out with freshmen high school students from 11 full-time schools, allocated in three intervention situations: (A) schools with two extra physical education classes per week; (B) schools with training and engagement actions for physical education teachers; (C) Schools with both A and B strategies; and (D) a group of control schools. Accelerometry was used to obtain the effect measure of the main outcome (sedentary behavior).

Assessing the quality of surface waters is essential for identifying changes in freshwater ecosystems and supporting the planning/proposing of measures to mitigate polluting sources. However, many studies involving the identification of pathogenic bacteria and/or their resistance profile to antimicrobial agents need a more holistic approach to conditioning or modulating factors. Thus, we apply different multivariate statistical techniques to the data set from the Capibaribe River's surface water, one of the most important in the Northeast of Brazil.
