METTL3, an m6A methyltransferase, is integral to the regulation of messenger RNA (mRNA) biogenesis, degradation, and translation through the N6-methyladenosine (m6A) modification. Alterations in m6A homeostasis have been implicated in the development, progression, invasion, and metastasis of certain cancers. The present research aims to examine the consequences of METTL3 knockdown using short hairpin RNA (shRNA) on the proliferation and invasive capabilities of human colorectal and melanoma cancer cell lines.

In this study, 60 adult male rats were used and divided into a control group receiving a standard pellet diet, a kaempferol-treated group receiving kaempferol (250 mg/kg), a high-fat diet (HFD) group receiving HFD, and a kaempferol-treated HFD group. At the end of the experiment, the total lipid profile and liver enzymes were assayed in the serum.

Objectives: Sialendoscopy has become the standard treatment for sialolithiasis; however, larger submandibular calculi may require an incisional technique. This study describes and evaluates an intraoral microscopic-assisted sialolithotomy (IMAS) as a refined submandibular stone extraction technique.
Methods: Retrospective case series of 64 submandibular IMAS procedures operated at a tertiary university center and private hospital from 2015 to 2021 were evaluated.
