Background: Preliminary research indicates that higher iron levels are associated with worse outcomes in patients with coronary artery disease.
Aims: The study aimed to investigate the relationship between iron levels and the type and composition of coronary plaques.
Methods: In patients with ≥1 coronary stenosis ≥50% on computed tomography angiography, iron levels, presence of high-risk plaque features, such as low-attenuation plaque (LAP), napkin-ring sign, positive remodeling, and spotty calcium, as well as type and plaque composition (calcified/fibrous/fibro-fatty/necrotic core) were evaluated.
Land use patterns play a critical role in shaping abiotic conditions, which in turn influence interspecies interactions within aquatic ecosystems. This study tested the hypothesis that catchment management practices significantly alter water parameters and consequently affect the dynamics, importance, and nature of relationships within the zooplankton community structure of a postglacial river (northern Poland). Zooplankton interspecies interactions were assessed using network graph modeling across four diverse catchment sections: natural (NAT), urban (URB), urban/agricultural (URB/AGR), and agricultural (AGR).

Design: Between March 1, 2023 and October 31, 2023, websites of surgical residency training programs on the ACGME Accreditation System List of Programs by Specialty were reviewed for department lactation policies, links to institutional graduate medical education (GME) websites with lactation policies, lists of lactation facilities, and links to institutional GME websites listing lactation facilities. Scatter plots were generated and Pearson correlation coefficients were calculated to assess relationships of the percentages of female residents, fellows, and faculty in each surgical specialty with the percentage of residency program websites with available lactation information.
The aim of our work is to determine the importance of habitat features for the selection of the aquatic beetle community. Insects are represented by their general ecological traits such as body size, ecological element and trophic type, which are categorised into four body size ranges, four ecological groups and four trophic types. To determine the importance of habitat selection of the studied insects, we analysed the relationships between the above categories and the set of habitat features of the lake and its surroundings.
