In this case, LVAD therapy was used as a destination therapy for 16 years, representing the longest documented and continuously ongoing support with the original implanted device.

Comparative analysis of bulk ceramics and thick film coatings for optimized energy storage technologies.

The present investigation provides an easy and affordable strategy for fabrication of functional ceramics BiNaTiO-SrFeO (BNT-SrF5) thick films on a flexible, inexpensive and electrically integrated substrate using electrophoretic deposition process (EPD). EPD is a widely accepted, environmentally friendly method for applying coatings from a colloidal suspension to conductive substrates. Lead-free ferroelectric BNT-SrF5 powder was synthesized by solid state method to fabricate bulk samples and thick films (30-160 μm) by EPD process.

Feeding jejunostomy in post-gastrectomy nutrition management for gastric cancer.

Patients undergoing gastric resection for stomach cancer are at an increased risk of malnutrition. Early postoperative enteral feeding significantly improves nutritional status and reduces morbidity. The use of a feeding jejunostomy in a selected group of these patients does improve the outcome.

We present a simple bottom-up approach to produce silver nanoparticles using the green reducing agent.
