To assess intraocular pressure (IOP) changes and complications after XEN45 implants in medically controlled eyes (MCE) vs. medically uncontrolled eyes (MUE). A retrospective study, in a tertiary referral hospital, on mild-to-moderate primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) cases under topical medication, including 32 eyes with IOP < 21 mmHg (MCE group) and 30 eyes with IOP ≥ 21 mmHg (MUE group).

Introduction: Chemotherapy is the principal treatment in metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) patients. RAC1b, a RAC1 spliced variant, is over-expressed in colorectal cancer (CRC), and impairs apoptosis by activation of nuclear-factor-KB. Since RAC1b has been associated with the BRAF(V600E) mutation, associated with poor prognosis in CRC, we evaluated the role of RAC1b expression as a predictor of chemotherapy efficacy in mCRC.

Background: Somatostatin analogues (SSAs) are indicated to relieve carcinoid syndrome but seem to have antiproliferative effects on neuroendocrine tumours (NETs). This is the first prospective study investigating tumour stabilisation with the long-acting SSA lanreotide Autogel in patients with progressive NETs.

Methods: This was a multicentre, open-label, phase II trial conducted in 17 Spanish specialist centres.
